Events Process

Ideation

Developing the brief. Defining the event. Identifying who the key stakeholders are, the community I am serving, the key messaging. Questions are: Who is this for? Why are we doing this? How will we know when it's a success? This stage is most conceptual.

Logistics and Risk

The 'HOW' of the event. Creating budgets, timelines, goal setting, identifying and creating assets necessary for conception. This is where the designing, the counting, the theory is embedded.

Roles

The team. Identifying the key roles of members, knowing each event requires responsibilities and accountability. Creating systems of accountability through clearly defined roles. A run-sheet based on realistic capacity - not wishful thinking. My past legal training has informed my unorthodox run sheets; categorised and outlined as a piece of legislation. Definitions are key to clear communication.

Preparation

Rolling up my sleeves, following the event from start to finish. Having ensured all team members received a copy of my run sheet, I am available to step in for emergencies. Having a free set of hands to prevent bottlenecks.
