With a keen eye for trends and a strategic mindset, I thrive on blending creative innovation with meticulous organisation. Every design choice, every event element, every word I write, is carefully considered to elevate the story I’m telling. As I pursue my path toward a role in creative direction, I’m committed to showing that true creativity is as much about taste and insight as it is about structure and execution.

My Story

I’m a storyteller and event creator with a deep love for translating culture into experiences that resonate.

After realising my degree in law and interest in legal studies came from a love of language and truth, I sought to excavate universal human truths through engaging as deeply as possible with the culture and sub-cultures of a city. I discovered the way to a city's heart is through its stomach. Living in Perth, I knew it was only a matter of time until I ate the city dry. I retrained as a chef, knowing anywhere in the world I'd be able to communicate with this universal language; you must give in order to receive.

Berlin was fundamental in shaping my personal project. I came with Michelin stars in my eyes. Instead, I found brutal dichotomies that challenged my ways of thinking constantly. Words such as authenticity, safe spaces, colonialism, all encroached into my work as a chef. Building upon a project in Perth, a decolonised dining initiative, I had the privilege of opening up spaces to engage with the community. This came with challenges I hadn't yet come across - suddenly I was responsible and accountable to my community; making posters and social media posts, ensuring open communication and promotion, managing costs, and crafting a menu that I could serve as a testament to my heritage, at a price which my community could afford amidst a cost of living crisis.

Through food, I told the story of immigration, class, and seeking resolution for my identity questions. What's a kid, born in Jakarta, raised in Hong Kong/New Zealand/Australia, trying to do here in Europe? I hoped people would stop by to eat and chat.

In order to execute my vision, I had to train myself in design, photography, event management and copywriting; all of which —each designed to evoke emotion, connect people, and make a lasting impact.

Not only did folks come to eat and chat - I found this opened my world entirely; leading me to opportunities within creative, editorial, written and visual work. From crafting social media campaigns to curating meaningful events, my work is all about bringing ideas to life with clarity, purpose, and style.
